Comments:
Holling's books are so unique. He combines an interesting story with wonderful illustrations to create a work of art and literature like no other. One can sit and lose themselves in a visual feast while perusing the many illustrations throughout. Beautiful full-page color illustrations combined with sketches all around the text block make each page so interesting. I like to use these books with Beautiful Feet's Geography guide as a spine (we don't do everything in the guide, but use it as a tool to guide use through the books and map work) and map set in 6th grade. Excellent living geography. Highly recommended!
