These books written by Opal Wheeler are a real delight. The reader is drawn into the early lives of famous composers. The books include printed music for the reader to play. The stories behind the compositions made us love the music even more. The study guides and companion CD added so much information and joy to our reading. We love the stories of young Handel singing with the wandering minstrels and winding each string with cloth to mute the sound of his new spinet from his father.
Because of our experience with these books and companion guide and CD, a whole new aspect of classical music has now become a personal part of our lives. WE LOVE THEM!
