Handwriting without Tears MY PRINTING BOOK is for first graders or children at that level. CAPITAL LETTERS and numbers should be taught/reviewed before beginning the book. The emphasis is on printing lower case letters. This workbook includes step by step letter instructions on the left-hand page, with illustrations large enough for the child to finger trace. The teacher will teach/demonstrate each new letter, and check to be sure the child can print it correctly. The child practices on the right-hand page. The new letter is used in words, with letters the child already knows. This provides a nice balance of new and review work. Revised and expanded for 2008.
